It is to my fullest understanding that people can do whatever they want to do with their bodies but I hate that crap and I don’t give a damn how old fashioned I sound. I like the basic one ear pierced thing but all of this junk like haves and multiple tattoos and toungue piercings is sick. What is the point in getting that stuff since as you get older it looks gross on you. what is the freaking point?

I agree with you! Its tacky and unattractive. Now one or two piercings on the ears is fine with me, on females, but anymore on a girl is dumb. With guys, none! I refuse to date a guy with any of that stuff. People are destroying there body…

Clip ons are the earliest form of no pierce ear rings. Adhesive based materials used in stick on ear rings will hold your ear jewellery with out any ear piercings. You can wear your favourite studs with out any piercing. For those who have a tendency to develop allergic skin reactions to adhesives, should avoid it. Another type is the ear cuff. It attaches to the ear by pinching the ear or the helix. Although it is also widely used, it causes the ear to redden from the pinching. Magnetic earrings also simulate stud earrings. With the use of a magnetic back, it attaches to the ear due to magnetic force.

-  Stick on earrings have adhesive backs which stick to the ear lobe.
-  Clip-on earrings that can also be worn as a naval ring.
-  Spring hoops stick to the ear by means of a spring force.
-  Ear cuffs are curved metal bands that press against the ear.

I have my cartilage, tragus, belly button, and my earlobes double pierced. Some of my family acts as though they are disgusted by my piercings. My aunt even said that I would scare men away! I don’t think it’s too much at all though.. In fact I’m thinking of getting another one. What are your opinions?

I think piercings on men and even women are sexy. You keep doing what makes you feel good.

I have a labret piercing on the bottom right of my lip and I have an industrial in my right ear as well as double piercings on each lobe. I am looking for a new part-time job and felt like being a cashier at Wal-Mart wouldn’t be too bad. Does anyone know Wal Mart’s policy for body piercings?

The handbook pretty much says you can’t have any visible ones (that includes tattooss too). If you decide to work there I hope you enjoy way more than I have.

I have a tattoo and a belly button ring. I am an adult, but I have not told/shown my mother because I do not want to have to deal with her anger. Will somebody please tell me what they think is so wrong with tattoos and piercings? What makes them taboo?
I guess I want parents’ opinions….I am young (23), and I want to know how would you react and what is the big deal if your daughter gets tattoos/piercings?

Well Im a mom but my kids are still young … 10 and 1 … not all moms hate tattoos and piercings. I have 15 tattoos (only piercings I have are my ears (7 and 5). Up until the last 10 years or so tattoos and piercings were not as common as they are today… not many mainstream people got them. So I think many of the older people still have that stereotype. There are so many more things people could be doing I dont see why some people get so upset.. I would rather see a tattooed person living a respectable life than a non tattooed/pierced person who is a criminal or an addict…

*edit… didnt see the 2nd part… my children will be free to get either once they are of age

I’ma get my belly pierced soon, and i was wondering how painful that was compared to other piercings. I only have my eyebrow and one piercing on each ear done though.

And does numbing it make a big difference?

I got my belly button pierced when i was 13 (I am 15 now.) And it really didn’t hurt, you could barely feel it!!! There was a small pinch and it lasts like .00072792933 seconds. lolol. but if you were fine gettin your eye brow pierced than your belly button will be like nothing!!

Like do you think just because they have a body piercing that they are automatically weird or a freak? I personally don’t judge anyone by their looks, but judge more so on what they say. I think body piercings are cool and I hope to get one on my eyebrow.

In this case I have to say that no it does not defeat how someone is what it does is place them in a category as to who they are, we all seek to be different and have a personality of our own right? well these people have done what is out of the ordinary they prefer to show the word there individuality and there inner self it is beautiful. I have no judgment for I do not like to be judged, we are all people, a few words for Dr Martin Luther King If a white man cuts his finger he bleeds he bleeds red if a man of color cuts his finger in the same spot and Just as deep he bleeds he bleeds red what is the difference? Only the cover of color but under it all we are alike. We all put our pants on the same way one leg at a time. the only difference is there is no difference we are all human, we are all beautiful in our own special way learn from the ones that are different, embrace the difference infect the truth.
